The Mysterious Girl with the hat, Rhea & The Lady of the Lake

Hello everyone! This is a first post where I share three series of different self-portraits. I thought of doing so because each series is quite small.

The first, I already told you a little about it, I got the car to drive to this place and then it started raining. Rain wasn’t on my plans, and I almost turned back home, but the photos turned out to be even better with it.

Olá Pessoal! Esse é o primeiro post onde eu coloco três séries diferentes de auto-retratos. Eu pensei em fazer isso porque cada série é bem pequena.

A primeira série, eu já falei sobre ela um pouco, eu peguei o carro e fui a esse lugar quando começou a chover. Chuva não estava nos meus planos e eu quase dei a volta para voltar pra casa, mas eis que as fotos ficaram até mais interessantes com a chuva.

The Rhea series was more like an experience. If I am not mistaken, it was the first time I shot in the streets. And yes, people were stoping and staring. No one likes to be stared at, so I stared back. It’s the same everytime, they get angry and leave. I understand the curiosity, but there’s no need to stop, cross arms and think it’s ok to stare for as long as you like, and oftenly with a dumb smile on one’s face.

A série da Ema foi mais como uma experiência. Se eu não estou enganada, foi a primeira vez que me fotografei nas ruas. E sim, haviam pessoas parando e encarando. Ninguém gosta de ser encarado, então eu encaro de volta. É a mesma coisa toda vez, eles ficam bravos e vão embora. Eu entendo a curiosidade, mas é desnecessário parar, cruzar os braços e achar q tudo bem ficar me encarando o tempo que quiser, e muito frequentemente com um sorriso tonto no rosto.

And the last series – The Lady of the Lake – was an adventure too. For this series I had quite many ideas for the photos, but this place was so muddy that I got more and more annoyed as time passed. So I cut the shooting short and went back home. I’ll have to find a better place for my self-portraits in the water ;P

E a última série – A Dama do Lago – foi uma aventura também. Para essa série eu tinha váris idéias para fotos, mas esse lugar estava pura lama e eu fui ficando cada vez mais irritada. Então eu decidi encurtar a sessão e voltei pra casa. Eu vou ter q encontrar um lugar melhor para meus auto-retratos na água ;P
