Chicago, Day #3 and #4 – Millenium Park, Michigan Avenue, Magnificent Mile

Our last days! 😦 But we enjoyed it! ^.^ Monday we woke up super early to go to the Millenium Park to see the bean. We arrived there a little before 7 a.m. and we had the bean almost to ourselves only. The Bean is just soooo much fun! Loved it!

Nossos últimos dias! 😦 Mas nós aproveitamos bastante! ^.^ Segunda-feira nós acordamos bem cedo e fomos ao Millenium Park ver o feijão. Nós chegamos lá um pouco antes das 7 e haviam umas 3 pessoas por lá só. O Feijão é suuuuper divertido! Adorei!

I took photos from all the angles haha and half an hour later, it started to get a bit crowded. When we passed there again after the visit to the Buckingham Fountain (I kept calling it Beckham fountain >.<) and it was craaaazy full of people!

Eu fiz fotos de todos os angulos haha e meia hora depois começou a encher de gente. Quando nós passamos lá novamente depois da visita à Fonte de Buckingham estava absurdamente lotado de gente!

Before lunch, le boyfriend had a meeting with some people at the Infinity Broker. He stayed there forever talking about the stock market and finances and stuff. At least there was a Lavazza shop right next to their building, where I was finally able to drink some really good hot chocolate. The only good hot chocolate I drank in this trip. For lunch we had amazing food at the Cheesecake Factory. I think I only gained weight thanks to these last days in Chicago. The next day we woke up early again, but to have breakfast at a Waffle place, amazing waffles of different kinds, we stayed the whole day going about the stores at the Magnificent Mile, and the only thing I regret in this trip is not having money enough to buy all the things I wanted hahaha and also, I regret not having bought more chocolate at the Ghirardelli Chocolate shop! 😦 It was so good!

Antes do almoço, o namorado tinha um encontro com um pessoal da Infinity Broker. Ele ficou lá a eternidade do mundo conversando sobre mercado de ações e finanças and stuff. Pelo menos tinha uma loja da Lavazza logo ao lado, onde finalmente tomei um bom chocolate quente. O único chocolate quente bom que tomei nessa viagem. Nós almoçamos muito bem no Cheesecake Factory, comida sensacional. Eu acho que só ganhei uns quilinhos nesses últimos dias em Chicago. No dia seguinte acordamos cedo novamente, mas foi para tomar café numa loja da Waffles, muito bom, muitas variedades. Ficamos o dia inteiro visitando lojas na Avenida Michigan e a única coisa que me arrependo nessa viagem foi de não ter tido suficiente para comprar todas as coisas maravilhosas que estavam em promoção. Os preços chegavam a ser metade ou um terço dos preços de Nova York! E também me arrependo de não ter comprado mais chocolate na loja da Ghirardelli. 😦 Era tão bom.

Chicago has a few Sculptures around the city, which makes for an interesting street view. And the kids actually use this Picasso sculpture as a playground 🙂

And so that was it, my trip to United States. I feel like coming back already 😉
