Last sunday I hosted a workshop at a horse breeding farm. The day had started bright and beautiful but in the middle of the afternoon it started raining heavily. So the participants of the workshop asked me to give them an extra hour on a bright sunny day, to teach how to use light under this conditions. Yesterday was it, and for these photos I took Sergio Buss’ principle to distract the models (who are brothers) with a challenge and make them forget they were posing. I didn’t want them to pose. And I wanted the participants to capture moments. Being a huge fan of Calvin & Hobbes, I have always loved the idea of water fights, so this was the theme for these photos. It was lots of fun to do this! 😉

Models: Nicolas Montanha & Hannah Montanha (She was born before the tv show started, if anyone’s wondering)
Awesome stuff Anna! Looks like a lot of fun.
Some fantastic images, and a great idea to make the models do something instead of just posing.
Regarding Calvin & Hobbes, I have The Complete Calvin & Hobbes (hardcover) within my arm’s reach as I’m typing. 🙂
You just gained a few points with me 🙂
Right back at you, and also for that sunlight in Hannah Montanha’s hair in the last two pictures..
